Pablo's Mexican - Shakopee

We were there Monday night for a double birthday celebration. My boyfriend and his grandma. His grandma turned 91. This was for a group of (4). We arrived at separate times. They had received a basket of chips and had asked for a second since more people were arriving (us). They were told they couldn’t have another basket until orders were placed. We arrived and then asked for another basket of chips. We were told it would be an additional FIVE DOLLARS. When we asked why as we had placed our orders we were just told it’s $5 with an attitude like “why are you so stupid”. Grandma said she didn’t care she was 91 and just wanted chips just bring the chips and in the rudest tone the server stated “yes but I’m going to charge you $5”. First of all, that tiny of basket of chips should have only been $2 if they’re going to charge extra. Second, I don’t care if you are charging for them, don’t be so GD rude about it. We’ve been going to Pablo’s for years but after this experience probably won’t be going back. Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

Pablo's has a history of being an authentic mexican restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere was delightful. They still got it! I stopped in for lunch while on break from jury duty. I ordered the spicy beef taquitos, no drink. The chips and salsa they give each table was good, homemade. My food came super quick, decent quality (pretty middle of the road) and portion. Service was brief but got me what I needed, checked on me, and was polite. All in all a decent experience. First time. Really great server. Wish I would have caught her name. It was a bit of a drive for us but we both said we would come again. Very nice. Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Food was so so so dry. Ate here a couple of days ago and it was not good. Refried beans were so bland, the Spanish rice was crunchy, my chicken was dry and it was just bleh. Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
