Wonderful place to visit, with a huge selection of food. the dumplings and nudelsuppen are super delicious. they also offer a cheesecake type dessert that was incredible. the staff was also very friendly. order them by scanning the QR code, it is all in Chinese however. the written menu has English translation, but I think they need to order with wechat. this would be the number one in shanghai if it wasn't that far away. easy to get from the exit 3 of the subway. it is closed from 2:30 -4:30 for lunch. hopefully they open more two.
Dumplings is a fantastic restaurant for vegans and vegetarians who want to experience some non-meat versions of regular Shanghainese food. they serve numerous emptying options along with noodle soups and stuffed pancakes. there is a vegetarian menu with aquarell images, along with a regular table menu that has (poor) English translation, but many photos. there is also an e-menu about wechat that can be found here: https dc.fanxiaojian.com/order-web/page/main?sid=6
This place was so amazing! The food was so yummy. The staff were also very helpful and friendly! The soup dumplings were tasty but by far the sticky ‘fake’ chicken was the best I’ve ever had! This place is a must go for vegans in China!
Oh, glorious dumplings and more. We ate way too much, but wanted to try various dishes! All in all only 140RMB, which is superb. We went at around 2:30pm and most staff had just finished their lunch and were now resting their heads on the tables, sleeping (typical Chinese style! , which added extra charm.
