Lutfi's Fried Fish - Shawnee

If I could give it to zero Stars I would.... I have tried this place three times.. every time they tell me they are out of bread and each time the portions have been smaller and the place is not cheap save yourself the aggravation and frustration stay away from this place

Here's the thing. Food is always amazing, when they have it. 8/10 times they will be out of multiple sides at this location. When they're out it's not listed. I recommend calling in first and asking what all they have and exactly how much first. The 8/10 stat is being exact, and not exaggerated. I was just here 1/14/2023: out of macaroni, greens, and spaghetti for example.

The food here is absolutely amazing! The fried catfish is delicious, complemented by a fantastic tangy hot sauce. The mac and cheese has a unique twist, and the hushpuppies are perfectly crispy. The carrot cake is simply divine!

My daughter and I dined there tonight, and it was a delightful experience! She ordered the fish and shrimp dinner, which came with mac and cheese and hush puppies, while I opted for a half order of fried catfish, also with mac and cheese and spaghetti. Everything was very tasty, and the portions were enormous! We couldn't finish our meals, so we took a bag home with us. Given the generous portion sizes, the prices were very reasonable. The staff who took our order were friendly, and the wait time for our food was perfectly acceptable—not too long at all. We will definitely be returning! It's a fantastic local Black-owned business close to home, serving up delicious food.

The food was outstanding, and we really enjoyed the service. The atmosphere was inviting, and we appreciated the music that was playing. We definitely plan to return soon.
