Sunshine Deli - Sheffield

I dined here twice last year within 24 hours. I enjoyed the kebab meat, chicken wrap, and macaroni and cheese eggs, which were the best! Both meal times were absolutely fantastic. However, the cakes we had were quite dry, but that didn't spoil our experience at all.

However, I should mention that after ordering from here several times, our experience has been a bit inconsistent. Sometimes the food is amazing, and we receive exactly what the menu describes. Other times, though, there are missing items or the dishes aren't quite what we expected. If they could address these inconsistencies, it would truly be an outstanding restaurant!

It's unfortunate to have to leave a negative review for a vegan restaurant, but I feel let down by the overall experience. While I appreciate that the establishment is vegan, offers a wide variety of food and cakes, and has friendly staff, I was extremely disappointed with the meal I received. I paid £6.50 for what was essentially some battered sausages and chips, which were just generic, unevenly cooked chips, and two Linda McCartney sausages that were crumbled. These sausages don't truly fit the "chip shop" style. I've tried many other vegan fish and chip shops that do a much better job. I won't be returning, which is a pity.

Today for lunch here. we both had the hot dinner with fries. the portions were very generous, the kebabic meat was fantastic.

Visited on a rainy Sunday purely for vegan status. The menu was impressive and promised a lot of vegan-style junk food which is something I’ve missed. Wanted to try a few things but ended up over ordering as portion sizes were enormous. No bad thing I guess and was able to take away. Great seitan donner, seitan chicken a little flavourless but sauces and seasonings were spot on. Biggest flaw with my visit was the long wait time (only one staff member to cook, serve, make drinks and take orders). Also, the place was coooold. The only things preventing top marks. Would come again if in the area.
