Filippa's Wine Barrel - Shelby Township

Great place for wine and food!. Never had a bad meal at Filippa's. It's one of those meals you'll spend a few extra dollars on, but it's very good. Great ribs, steaks, fish specials, pasta, etc.<br/ <br/ And they have a very good knowledge of wine and can pair up a meal and wine very well.<br/ <br/ Also, Wednesdays are $5.00 martini night in the bar. Any martini you can think of is only $5.00.

Fantastic! We absolutely adore this restaurant! The service is excellent, and while it’s always bustling, it never feels overly crowded or noisy. The food is delicious, and the prices are very reasonable—especially on half-off wine nights! We've celebrated several birthdays and special occasions here. Although we used to live just around the corner, we've since moved away, but we still make the 20-mile journey to dine here because it’s simply that amazing!

My wife and I had a lovely dinner at Filippa's. During our visit, the floors were being replaced, but we were seated in a nice booth and arrived just ahead of the dinner rush. Our waiter was knowledgeable and answered all our questions, and the food was served exactly as ordered. I had the Beef Chicken Diablo, while my wife chose the Chicken Alfredo. The fresh, hot bread was delightful, and I particularly enjoyed the Michigan salad, which was definitely worth the extra $1. My wife loved her Chicken Alfredo, and I found the Beef and Chicken Diablo to have a nice flavor without being overly spicy. A few of the beef tips were not the best, but overall it was a satisfying meal. The portions were generous, and while the prices were a bit high, we appreciated the quieter and more pleasant dining experience. Though we don’t drink alcohol, the restaurant offered a wide selection of wines and drinks. The menu presented many options, and we look forward to returning to try other dishes. Overall, the cozy booth, delicious food, and attentive service make Filippa's a great choice for us in the Shelby Township area.

As a first-time visitor, I was quite impressed! The prime rib was excellent, the tilapia special was cooked to perfection, and you absolutely have to try the lobster and potato pierogi. The service was prompt and friendly, and dining on the outdoor patio was delightful! I will definitely be returning!
