V Js - Shelby

My friends and I stopped at W J's during a Bachelor Trip weekend and we were extremely disappointed with the way we were treated. Despite being 25-26 years old, the staff refused to serve us any alcoholic drinks and repeatedly asked for our IDs. The atmosphere of the place was lacking and we were prepared to spend at least $500 at the bar. Unfortunately, we were ignored and treated poorly. I would not recommend this place to anyone visiting Shelby, AL.

I adore this restaurant; they have the best fried pickles. The steak is incredibly juicy and flavorful. Everything is made fresh to order and tastes just like Grandma used to make. If you're in need of some home comfort food, this is the place for you. Whether you dine in or take out, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

We used to frequent WJ regularly, but the quality of the food has declined in recent visits. During our most recent visit, we experienced long wait times for our food, overcooked curly fries, and smoke that was so thick a person at our table began coughing. We have decided not to return.

The best chicken wing in shelby county. this place is small kept secret serving cooked eating, like burger, pizza and my favorite chicken wings boiled right. I only complain that zigarette smoke from connected bar drifts in the restaurant area ventilation must be improved.

Beautiful small town bar / restaurant. the service was great, and they had a great bare dinner. they would recommend if they are in alabama or go through!
