I am a repeat customer. Rafael has the best pizza in the area. A bit greasy, but generous portions. I like the chicken parm and my wife likes the stir fry. Not New York City dtandards, but I have found none better anywhere nearby.

If you’re craving Italian cuisine, this is the place to go! They offer calzones, pizza, subs, and much more. At first glance, the exterior might make you think it’s just a casual spot, but inside there’s plenty of comfortable seating in a spacious dining area. Don’t sit down just yet—head to the counter first to explore their impressive menu. With so many options, it was hard to make a choice. Initially, I thought about just ordering a sandwich, but then I realized I could get a full meal for just a dollar or two more. So, I went with the Veal Parmigiano served with spaghetti, while my husband opted for the Chicken Florentino with linguine. After picking a table in the beautifully decorated dining room, we only had to wait about 10 minutes for our food to arrive—two enormous plates! The dishes were hot and freshly made, and the portions of pasta, sauce, and meat were incredibly generous. Each meal came with a slice of toasted Italian bread, and the chicken dish also featured a lovely side salad. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious, boasting authentic Italian flavors. The portions were so large that despite our best efforts, we had some leftovers to take home! The only thing missing from this genuinely authentic Italian experience was a bottle of house wine. This was such a delightful surprise—fantastic food served hot and fresh from a seemingly low-key place. The friendly atmosphere and attentive service were greatly appreciated. You really don’t need to go far for great Italian food in Shelbyville!
