Extraordinary food. All wines available by the glass. Friendly, welcoming staff (Jimmy was great). The otters on the antipasto were amazing !!

Great food, service and atmosphere as always. We have been going to 18 Bay for years and never been disappointed. Best restaurant on the island.

Service started well but wasn’t consistent and was slow.

The food was excellent and fresh. The drinks at the bar were awesome as well. The wait staff seemed overwhelmed, we had 3 different waitresses and there were some mix ups with our meal. However, the manager sent over a glass of wine for us to make up for the issues. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant to a friend.

The tasting menu for the evening featured innovative local seasonal fare The antipasto course featuring 4 offerings was tasty with only one slight misstep . The tuna crudo was delicious except for an extremely spicy pepper sauce beneath the crudo maybe habanero that we were not warned about it should be tasted with caution ! and I like some spice Next came a fresh pasta course with fresh pasta “coins” in a fresh pea sauce with shaved Parmesan . The pasta coins were very aldente rendering them almost inedible Another 30+ seconds cooking would have made a big difference and sauce was a bit salty for my taste which obscured the fresh pea flavor. My husband had the short ribs for his main course they were incredibly tender and delicious melt in your mouth good .I had the fisherman’s stew basically a ciopino ,again very flavorful but way too salty and I like well seasoned food dessert was just ok a profiterole filled with vanilla ice cream with a chocolate glaze on top. the profiterole was a bit too hard and very bland. Am I nit picking? perhaps. I did not mention any flaws to the server. .We arrived a bit early 6:45 for our 7:00 pm reservation and were seated immediately the restaurant was nearly empty and noise level was quiet as the evening progressed and the tables filled up it did get Very noisy ! The service was lovely and attentive. Would we go back again?Maybe Was it worth $230 not sure . The price $75 pp was inline with what you may spend in the Hamptons for a nice meal at a similar place.
