Tatadohama Beach - Shimoda

Absolutely gorgeous beach. The sand is imported from Australia and doesn’t feel coarse at all. I visited during the winter so there was no possibility of going into the ocean water. However, the beach is very clean and the water is clear as well! This a must visit if you’re in the area.

Shirahama has come to a small time. I went to Japan to become an adult. It was so white! I was surprised. It seems that the sand is imported from Australia. There is no waste and the water is clear. It is wonderful that there is such a beautiful beach near Osaka city. The parking lot is free of charge.

Magnificent beach in Wakayama. The water is warm the whole year! You can enjoy swimming in winter, I went to the beach today on a hot sunny day and you can have summer vibes there.There is also ice cream shops and stores next to, good access but no parking lots, better to reserve hotel next to this beach.Recommend going in winter and spring because there is an unbelievable amount of people in summer February/August.

Visited this place this month which is late spring and swimming was prohibited. The water was so cold despite having a sunny day. The place was very picturesque and is visited by a lot of people, majority of which are couples. I was lucky enough to see the sand art displays here.

2015/3/20 Beautiful sand beach White and refreshing. It is certainly Shirahama. Is the sandy texture similar to the inner sea beach in Aichi? I thought that there is a beach called Shirahama in Nanki Shirahama, but the beach itself is called Shirahama.
