Shimizuko Minami - Shizuoka

Fresh seafood from shimizu port. Small venue. Window counter and 4 tables. Its busy from opening and will sell out of the most popular dishes early. Building isn't anything nice and its in short a quick lunch stop for fresh fish and with a friendly all female staff If you cannot make it to shimizu port then here is a great alternative in town

Visited twice during my stay shizuoka. The Maguro-don menu is available for lunch only. That's why there's always a long queue in front of this restaurant. Serving high quality tuna dishes with an absolutely reasonable price. You also have a kitchen staff who can speak Korean. If you are in Shizuoka, you should visit once!

The taste of Tuna is impressive. You can eat many parts and many styles of Tuna here with the reasonable price! Just something that has to worry about is the very long queue.

Undoubtedly the best meal I had during the whole trip in Shizuoka. Actually, one of the best foods in my whole life. As one of the reasons I will visit Shizuoka again.

One of the best tuna I’ve ever tried in Japan! The restaurant is quite small, around 20 seats. I queued before the shop was opened. I waited for 30 minute to get in. Better to come early. But it is worth the wait, and even better, worth every yen. The staff was friendly and they have english menu. I ordered the Southern Blue Fin Tuna Bowl ¥1850) and the Minami Tuna Bowl ¥1450). Description of each dish is on the menu attached. The tuna was incredibly fresh. All variation of the tuna dish was mind-blowingly delicious. Even the miso soup had this distinct flavor. Highly recommend for you to try this whenever you pass by Shizuoka City. Cant’ wait for my next visit here.
