Mezeh Mediterranean Grill - Short Pump

Mezeh was my go to spot for years. Being Jewish and missing Israel, this was a good spot to eat in the area. Today was my first visit in about a month and a half (traveling a lot for work had me away for a while) and see they changed their pricing, portions, and quality. The falafel was dry, I had to fight for normal servings, my typical $23 bowl turned into $28 dollars and I was only given a quarter pita piece. I marked one star because this is a place my dad and I love. He found it back in 2019 when I came back to the States and he’d always want to invite me here to eat. I spoke with him about my past experience and he also shared the same gripes except he said they weren’t very nice to him. Service is getting worse and worse everywhere you go and this is really the only place I’d frequent, this and Texas Roadhouse (of all places). I feel bad because this place meant a lot and now I don’t really want to come back. Cava is next door and kind of don’t like them either. So it’s tough not having a cool spot. Increase in prices for food that doesn’t taste as good and smaller portions.

Ordered and paid for the mezeh spread catering for pick up at 2pm…it wasn’t ready by 2:25pm. I asked how long it would take and they said 30-40 mins. Our party started at 2:30pm. I asked them to refund me and they told me to get the refund online. I asked to refund in store but they refused. They called management and then said it would take 10 mins to fulfill the order. I reminded them they just told me it would take 30-40mins? One of the ladies yelled at me to, “Go, just go!”.

Great place for clean eats , super selection of healthy and tasty. Pro tip to use the 1/2 of this and that to get the most variety (half greens and rice, half steak and chicken)

First time at mezah and everything was great! Dinging one star because most of the tables in the dining room were dirty, and there were only two other people eating at 2:30pm on Saturday. Keeping the dining room clean is the easy part!

I love this food! I've had 2 grab-and-go experiences, and both were excellent. I've since dined in 20+ times, and I'm consistently pleased with the food quality and value.
