The Beacon Shrewsbury - Shropshire

Just wanted a decent good quality pub restaurant style meal without spending a fortune .That's EXACTLY what we got. Good menu choice, good portions and nicely cooked. Lovely waitresses and quick polite service with a sense of humour. Busy for a weds pm but Im not surprised. Cant go wrong with this place!

Normally good service and above average food but two things jarred on our recent visit. PLEASE allow customers to actually sit down before asking what drinks they would like and pastry and microwaves are not great together. My steak and ale pie therefore had a soggy topping rather than a crispy crust that rather spoiled the dish. Not great but in fairness , first time we've had a poor meal here.

Second time here with family for lunch and enjoyed our meal very much. Friendly staff to meet and greet and show us to the table. Drinks served very quickly whilst we perused the menu. Good choice of meals and light snacks at a very reasonable price. I had the steak and ale pie chips and peas with a jug of gravy just over £10. Good portions tasty food and good value. Nice puddings on the menu but too full to eat one. Would highly recommend you try this pub for some good grub.

Ever time I come here with friends, I’ve always had a lovely experience. Good, friendly staff. Well spaced. Yummy food!

The Beacon is a great place to go for a good value meal. A good atmosphere. The light bites are good sized portions and the menu offers a wide variety of foods. A light bite and drink for under £10! Brilliant when you have a family to pay for!
