Írjon visszajelzéstThe restaurant was incredibly dirty. There was dust and grime on the walls. As soon as I arrived, I went to the bathroom, but unfortunately, my wife had already ordered a plate of food. I really question how this place is allowed to operate. The bathroom was in deplorable condition and clearly needs repairs. If the bathroom is in such bad shape, I can only imagine what the rest of the restaurant is like.
At first, the variety of food looks promising, but the tables are the same ones from the 1996 Burger King. Against our better judgment, we decided to try the food, which at least had a decent aroma. The kids sampled macaroni and cheese, sweet and sour chicken, crayfish, crab rangoon, and egg rolls. However, the macaroni and cheese tasted like it had been sitting out for days; whatever little dairy was in it had gone sour, making it inedible. The crayfish egg rolls were dreadful, and I couldn't bring myself to taste them. The sweet and sour sauce that accompanied the chicken was acceptable, but the crab rangoon was surprisingly bad. It was essentially just cream cheese wrapped in a fried wonton. I sampled several chicken dishes, only to find one that was just dough with no chicken at all. My husband’s lo mein was equally awful, having a strange fishy taste even though there was no actual fish in it. None of us finished our meals, and we were too afraid to go for seconds. The only redeeming factor of this place was the McDonald's next door, which ensured my kids didn’t leave hungry. It’s astonishing that there were other patrons dining in this place; it really should be shut down. It was unpleasant in every respect.
Today, March 21, 2021, the food was once again dry and hard. It was quite unpleasant, and I think the health department should be notified. I will call them tomorrow because this has happened too many times, and the quality of the food has significantly declined.
Was hesitant to go here based on the reviews, but was pleasantly surprised with my stay. The restaurant itself looks kind of shabby and rundown, but the food was quite the opposite. All of the dishes we ate WERE warm/hot, so much so that you could see the steam coming off everything. It was a cold winter day, and all the windows were fogged up from the heat! The options that weren't hot/full were refilled fairly quickly. I was surprised to see some uncommon dishes for a Chinese buffet there, such as salmon and cream cheese wontons. My personal favorite was the fried green beans: so many buffets overcook them and they lose the nice plump texture, but this place found the perfect medium between plump texture and flavor. The bathrooms weren't much to look at, but what bathrooms are nowadays? The doors allowed you to be almost completely secluded, a nice feature I don't see in many bathrooms today. There was only one waitress when we were there, but she was polite and prompt. We gave her a modest tip and she was beaming afterwards, so I can only imagine what kind of customers she's had to deal with in the past. Overall I think this is a rather underrated restaurant. I think too many people have held the highest standards for what may as well be a mom-and-pop joint. If you're on the road traveling and need a quick bite to eat that isn't the McDonald's next door, I would definitely recommend this place.
This is an excellent Chinese restaurant that serves good food at a good price. The buffet has a wide variety of Chinese food (American style) that doesn't tax your wallet. Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon while shopping and was pleasantly surprised. Definitely coming back.
