Like with most buffets, if you want the freshest food, it's best to visit during the regular lunch and dinner hours. However, if you ask during off-peak times, they'll be happy to provide you with fresh dishes. The staff is also excellent at accommodating food allergies or sensitivities—just ask! Generally, there is at least one person on staff who speaks good English. I know this from my own experience inspecting the restaurant.
When the bill arrived, it was $30, which felt excessive for food that was stale and unappetizing. Christian asked the owner if we could pay the lunch price instead of the dinner price—$6.99 instead of $9.69. We were willing to pay for Evan and our drinks but thought it would be a nice gesture from the owner. However, the owner insisted that the food was perfectly fine. Christian even offered him a chicken nugget that was hard, and the owner took a bite but then spat it back out. He stated he didn’t care if the food was bad; we still had to pay full price. Additionally, he expressed that he didn’t mind if we chose not to return; he felt confident that his business would continue thriving for the next 21 years without us. We never intended to leave without paying. We understand that restaurants can be slow and that they may not want to waste food by preparing a whole buffet of fresh items. All we wanted was for the owner to acknowledge that the food was far from fresh that night. Instead, we were met with disrespect and were told that if we didn’t like it, we could "call the cops." I believe it’s time for businesses to prioritize good customer service and genuinely care about their patrons. I urge everyone to consider boycotting this establishment for at least a month or two. It’s important to send the message that no matter how long a business has been around, they still need us, the customers, to survive. Please share this with everyone you know in Sidney—let's show them what customers are capable of!
I checked the online menu before calling to place my order, but when I called, I was informed that they don't actually have an online menu. Additionally, every item I ordered was priced between $1.50 and $4.00 higher than what was listed.
