Silver Bowling Center - Silver City

Encouraged by my friends, I recently took up bowling at the age of 70. The staff and owners have been wonderful—very helpful and friendly. The facility is clean and well-lit, and the other bowlers I've met have been incredibly supportive. I highly recommend it, whether you're an experienced bowler or just starting out.

The food was excellent once we received it, but we had to wait an hour and a half for it.

I've been coming here since I was a kid. The service can vary quite a bit depending on the management, but for the last six years or so, it has consistently been a great place to bowl and especially to play some pool.

We were visiting Silver City for the 4th of July weekend. We had just gotten into town and were super hungry and wanted a burger...something other than McDonald's. I had read on here that the burgers were pretty tasty, so we gave it a try. Upon arrival, a woman told us to have a seat anywhere and she would bring menu's to us. We were the only ones in the place...the restaurant was empty, with the exception of us. My husband ordered a small hamburger with fries and I ordered a small green chile burger with onion rings. And yes, they have small and large burgers, lol. We assumed that to be a 1/4 pound and a 1/3 pound?? My husband can't stand pickles and doesn't want them on his plate at all. I made sure the server understood this, as it always seems to be an issue. The cook delivered our food when it was done, as the server that took our order was gone. My husband got a cheeseburger, as did I. He didn't order a cheeseburger, he ordered a hamburger and there were no chiles on mine...and pickles were on his plate as usual. We dug in anyways because we were, as I stated, super hungry. Finally, another woman working there came over and asked how things were. I told her the burgers were good, just not what we ordered. The cook overheard this and apologized. He said it was entirely his fault for putting cheese on the hubby's and omitting the chiles on mine. Had the woman that took our order delivered the food to us, she might have noticed it was incorrect. But it wasn't the end of the world, so we just ate them. Also, I have been in the food and beverage industry for most of my life (I'm 62) and witnessed a big no-no by the cook. Eating your lunch while preparing mine and never washing your hands and/or wearing gloves is not cool. If not for being so hungry, I would have left after seeing that. I took my chances though and thankfully did not become ill due to cross contamination. Would we eat there again? No.....

The best green chili cheeseburger in town! Excellent service, friendly staff, and they're open until 11! I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a quick late-night dinner or a family outing!
