Írjon visszajelzéstI visited this restaurant for lunch with a friend, and we ordered pork ribs and fries. The fries were excellent, while the pork ribs were tasty but the half rack was smaller than I anticipated. The service was outstanding, and I also enjoyed the pickles. They offer a delicious hot spicy sauce if you’re looking for some heat. Plus, the availability of free underground parking is a fantastic perk. I’ll definitely return, hopefully with a bigger appetite!
The food was excellent, and we loved everything we ordered. The BBQ prawns and pulled lamb were particular favorites. The service was friendly as well.
My wife and I went out for lunch using a Treat Me voucher that was long expired. However, the manager graciously decided to honor it, considering my recent hospitalization and the impacts of COVID-19 that had forced them to close for a while. I had a beautifully cooked sirloin, while my wife enjoyed a delicious cauliflower dish followed by a chocolate mousse dessert that she absolutely loved. The service was exceptional, and the friendly chef even went out of his way to assist me, as I am wheelchair bound. Overall, it was a memorable dining experience, and we will definitely return, despite the bit of a journey from our home in Northland.
Good food, friendly staff, though was a little difficult to understand the accent.

Last night we went to Miss Moonshines which is located on Ponsonby road down a little alleyway but was still easy to find. We ordered the beef brisket, pulled lamb and fries! Overall the portion sizes we had were pretty good especially the fries, I literally have not seen that many fries at such good quality for $10! The beef brisket was our fav it was tender, well cooked and full of flavour. The beef went very well with the picked onion and the moonshine bbq sauce (just don’t put too much on as it is spicyyy). The beef was easily the best I’ve ever eaten if I’m being 100% honest . The pulled lamb was cooked well and full of flavour and went well with both sauces provided! The fries that we ordered were so nice and crisp and oh man just so so so good. Service was very fast and efficient, friendly staff and at the start of the meal we were run through the menu and how the restaurant runs, I was surprised to learn that the beef brisket was smoked for 10hrs beforehand and the pulled pork was for 6hrs! I also learnt that they use pohutukawa wood to smoke the meat which I find pretty neat and wouldn’t have known otherwise. Although we didn’t book beforehand we were still able to get a table with no fuss but will definitely remember to book next time. Overall would rate @missmoonshines 5/5 and am definitely coming back again
