Chuy's Mesquite Broiler Simi West

The food at Chuy's is really good. I love their tri-tip, their burgers and their nachos, onion rings and fries too. But even better is their drinks. The Baja on the rocks is amazing! And one will get the job done, if you know what I mean! They usually have a live band on the weekends. Stop in for a meal, and step out on the patio for a dance!

Looks like a great place for drinks. Dinner not so much. Coleslaw was great. Mahi was a little dry and tasteless. Rice tasted parboiled and had a sweet tomato sauce. The Fajitas were a better choice. Beans were okay.

Not sure why but the Chuy's in Agoura Hills and Thousand Oaks were closed for many years. Fortunately I ran into this one in a Simi Valley and ordered the tri-tip which was great. Also the chips and salsa taste just like the easy that I had many years ago in Agoura Hills and Thousand Oaks. I hope this one will continue to be in service for me to regularly return to taste out the different items on the menu.

Chuy's has a tri-tip sandwich that used to be very, very good. I got one the other day and there was so much gristle in it it was horrible. Tri-tip doesn't have gristle in it. So I don't know what they're serving but it's not a tri-tip steak sandwich.

Great drink specials. Great food. Awesome staff. They have live bands most weekends. A trivia night. And more...
