The baklava were served at ambient temperature, with just the right amount of sweetness. I wish it was served warm though, with a more pronounced buttery taste. It is chewy than it is flaky.
Having tried other Turkish restaurants, Arkansas definitely is amongst the better ones. It's located in a very nice setting, surrounded by greenery. The food taste similar to other Turkish restaurants but the meat is more tender. We tried the mixed grill and the Sultan's delight. The restaurant was crowded and service was slow. Prices were double what the old Google map photos had. But we enjoyed ourselves nevertheless.
Very prompt and pleasant service. I am not sure how Turkish food is suppose to taste but the dishes we ordered tasted very acceptable. Won’t mind going back again and will recommend… the only thing I didn’t like is the baklava which is too sweet!
Decided to try this cafe after reading its 'free advertisement ' online. Even with recent fake negative reviews, its score is still well above 4 points. I guess it has built a strong foundation for its name with the good food. Food is tasty and flavourful. We had Houmus with pita bread. Very smooth and delicate texture with subtle chick peas taste, pita bread is soft and served warm. Chicken kebab with rice was very fragrant, well marinated and grilled to perfect tenderness. Musakka (a baked dish with beef minced meat and eggplant, other veggies and lotsa cheese) was rich though a little greasy. Service was good, wait staff was v attentive, and towards the end we ordered a cup of turkish tea. They made the tea complimentary and we appreciate the kind gesture. Price point a little on the high side but the lunch set seems worth it. Overall it was a good experience and we enjoyed the food. Will try the lunch set next time.
The owner and menu might have changed since I last ate here, but the food is as good as ever. Even on a public holiday eve night, the food arrived very quickly, although it is advised to reserve a seat! The beef pide was especially delicious.
