The crab prices START at $128. That is for the Canadian crab, the least expensive crab you can buy. Other crabs cost $200 and 300+. To the eat the chilli crab, which may be the messiest crab dish ever made, you are provided with one small moist towelette (the ones in the plastic wrapper) and a bowl of water. Of course, if you dip your fingers in the water to clean them off midway through the meal, the moist towelette does nothing to help you dry off. If you ask for another 'napkin ' they give you a startled look and come back with two additional tiny moist towelettes and THEY CHARGE YOU $1 FOR EACH. For a restaurant that specializes in serving crab, did no one think that the patrons might need a real napkin or two? You are also proved with the most poorly designed crab cracker ever made. Hard to imagine messing up such a simple device. This restaurant must have bought the cheapest crab crackers made in the world. The service was indifferent. Not friendly at all. No interest or concern for the customers was ever shown. A crab, a small sweet sour pork dish and a very small plate of asparagus cost over $200. To the price of the meal, add the frustration of eating with no thought given to your comfort and one is left feeling ripped off and very angry. You also get charged for your glass of tap water, by the way.
This is worst place to go if you're a tourist and or just visiting. Service was lousy. Charged for peanuts even though we didn't order but it was placed on the table as if it was complimentary. Also charged extra for towels to wipe hands. Didn't have napkins also so we had to ask and waiter said they had none. Then our Chili Crab arrived. They never offered to crack Crab so we started cracking ourselves until we noticed the next table the waiter was providing that service. They never offered us and explained we had to ask. But how do we ask if that is a service if they don't offer it? How is someone from out of town suppose to know? Manager didn't offer any solutions to the service and just walked away and let the waiter keep apologizing. Please people don't ever go to this place crappy service, bad attitude, so so food, over priced, charges for items you didn't order. Learn from our mistake. $150 US dollars spent and not worth a penny.
This place serves better Chili-Cab comparison with its competitors nearby. Other dishes are also cooked in a traditional and authentic Chinese way. And they're all great! But quite expensive.
Nice location, good foods, but should be less salty! Highly recommended one in the Clarke Quay area.
