Ruta's Roadhouse - Siolim

On a rainy afternoon, sitting by the veranadah of Ruta's intimate roadhouse, you can smell the love with which the food is prepared. The brownies, muffins and cakes are amazing. The apple spice cake as well as the banana white chocolate muffin was just incredible!! Must must try. The staff especially the owner is very warm and welcoming. A really nice place to sit and work or just have some good conversation or alone reading time.

The food was good and the ambiance was even better, I preferred seating outside so the absence of A/c done make difference as long as the weather is good . The place is good for breakfast and it’s little over priced but worth visiting

Ruta has put together a very well curated menu... pretty much everything we ordered (group of 9 across three generations) was spot on. The stew is just brilliant, so are the sandwiches, salads and the cold pressed juices. The penne was ok. Ruta and Neville run this place... lovely couple! Definitely worth a visit. It's a day cafe and quite loungish at that...! Portions are perfect for one person who has moderate appetite!

Ruta's roadhouse is a quaint cafe/restaurant located in a quiet part of north goa. Went for a late breakfast and I must say it was the best one I had on my entire trip. Everything tasted fresh and well prepared be it the cold pressed juices or the food. We had the awesome farinata and omelette and pancakes - the best Pancakes I've ever had, light and fluffy inside and crispy outside. I suspect the folks at Ruta's use egg in their pancakes but they claim otherwise. Ruta's has a strict no admission policy in their kitchen unless of course you're Brad Pitt! A visit is definitely recommended if one wants good breakfast/food in a quiet and homely ambience.
