Perkins Bakery - Sioux City

I recommend visiting the Perkins by Menards. While the downtown location also serves good food, I personally had a long break from Perkins because I found the food to be bland and boring. However, they have recently introduced a new menu that really changes things up—it reminds me of IHOP (sorry, IHOB! I still prefer IHOP). The only downside is that Perkins doesn't offer crepes, which is a bit disappointing. The Menards location feels more updated and modern, with an inviting, airy atmosphere. Overall, if you're focused on the food, both locations are worth a visit!

We had a wonderful experience with an efficient and friendly server who brought us delicious food! We enjoyed the tilapia with shrimp and the pot roast melt, both of which were absolutely delicious!

It was an exceptionally slow evening, and the waitress seemed to be managing just three tables. We placed our order, but when she brought our food, a few items were missing. I had to wait for her to bring the forgotten items before I could start eating. A few minutes later, I noticed her taking an order from a new table. When she finished, I managed to catch her attention, and she retrieved one of the missing items but then disappeared for another three to four minutes. Eventually, she returned with the last item, but she never refilled our drinks or provided us with the bill. When we decided to leave, the guy at the front simply checked us out. Although we usually tip well, she only received 18% that night.

The food is usually excellent, but the service can be a bit slow at times. However, if you visit during off-peak hours, it’s fantastic!

The food was delicious and our server was very friendly, but the wait for the food was longer than we expected.
