La Nuova Darsena - SIRMIONE

Walked past this on a Sunday lunchtime and it was packed with Italian families out for the day in Lake Garda. That's good enough for me! Had dinner there that night and an excellent Pizza with local wine, Not cordon bleu, but good wholsome italian food and service

This restaurant can't offer a view of the lake or the atmosphere of Sirmione old town but it makes up for it in the value for money stakes. The menu is on the safe side but the service was very friendly and efficient.

Ok so it isn't the best place around but it is an honest restaurant. The food is quite basic but week made and very tasty. The lasagne was light and well presented. Food is reasonably priced and the staff attentive and tried hard to make this an enjoyable dining experience.

Needed 2 things...something to eat and somewhere to park and am really glad we stumbled upon this restaurant. It's a little bit from the water and centre of town but it has good parking and it's quite big. We sat outside and had a pretty good pizza and my wife had the gnocchi. All in all a perfectly decent place to eat!

We were staying at the hotel across the road and decided to try it one night. Family of 5, my husband ordered the mussels and clams for entree which was superb. He then had the filetto Di Manzo with pepper sauce which he said was delicious. The accommodated our kids with plates of gnocchi or penne either bolognese or napoletana sauce big servings and great tasting. I had the eggplant parmigiana which was typical but tasty and veal scallopine which was delicious! All round really nice food, attentive staff and very clean!
