Amigos Mexican Cantina - Skopje

I went to this restaurant based on the reviews and I must say the food was amazing. I ordered the spinach and mushroom chimichanga, along with sides of salsa, guacamole, and beans. The menu was in English and the English-speaking waiter was very helpful with the vegetarian options on the menu. It was easy to identify the vegan dishes and I had no trouble ordering dishes without cheese. The prices were also very reasonable!

Some people suggest this restaurant, but we were let down. While they offer vegetarian options, the flavors were lacking. We tried three dishes and found them all to be mediocre with little taste. We do not recommend this place.

The portions were generous."

Restaurant is colourful, clean and the food and service was excellent. Serves meat and lots of vegetarian options, some of which can be made Vegan. Be prepared to show proof of vaccination upon entry (standard practice in this region). Super excited to have some mexican flavors on our trip and was really looking forward to the empanadas but after asking about other Vegan options we were informed that they are not technically Vegan as the crust has dairy and eggs (even though the menu lists as vegan). Guacamole was the second thing I was really missing from my usual diet and theirs delivered! Yumm! I also ordered the Tampico rice dish and my spouse ordered the chimichangas. All dishes were a good size and really tasty. Not spicy enough for us but they had some good hot sauce to spice it up!

Only 1 vegan main dish, it was okay but nothing out of the ordinary. They could make a vegan dessert through and that one was good. Nice wine and a very nice atmosphere!
