Canyon Matka

This is a restaurant review Most people stop for a drink at the restaurant before or after hiking, kayaking or taking a boat tour. The service is slowish. The toilets are very dirty and there was no toilet paper. The view is amazing.

We dined at the restaurant for lunch. Very pretty atmosphere and good service, however the food was okay and very expensive by Macedonian standards. For 2 non alcoholic drinks and 2 pasta dishes, we paid €40.

This comment is about the staying at April 18, 2023. First of all, I would like to point out that; After the comments here, I was very scared but made a reservation. Although we were arriving late before the reservation, the helpful attitude of Alexander, whom I spoke to on the phone, relieved me a bit. Very late at midnight and under heavy rain, we walked to the hotel with our suitcases after the parking lot. I was very worried about this road, but I saw that it is not as bad as exaggerated in the comments, it is an authentic road paved with cobblestones that we know. Yes, it is deserted/nobody, yes it is dark in places, but we did not experience any danger. We arrived at the hotel and were given a nice bottle of wine as a gift. The morning breakfast was really nice. Alex and especially Maria took good care of my daughter during breakfast, gave my daughter coloring books, thank you. Maria offered us coffee afterwards and they hosted us very nicely. At that time, I saw that there were also those who came for the boat tour, regardless of the accommodation, and they could use the restaurant and toilets without any problems. In conclusion, I recommend to stay in this hotel.

We are traveling with my family all the way from usa and visited a lot of places and countries and finally we are in Macedonia at lake Matka. We just got to the restaurant with my family and my service dog and i was told that I can’t go inside the restaurant open area because i have a dog with me.. I explained that this is service dog and i have all the necessary paperwork for it but still i was told we cant get inside. This is discrimination its like you say to to a person with wheelchair that he cant go inside with it. So disappointed..

Eat in this restaurant is very delicious i have pasta with salmon and my friend have pizza. We have a very good time in this restaurant. when you have kids you got pencils and kids menu with pictures for drawing
