Tabla - Smithfield

I enjoyed the mango chicken and the chicken vindaloo. Naans were lovely aswell. the owner was happy to come and have a chat to us while we waited for lunch.

Sunday lunch there was no one else dining. Nice decor great tables. Given papadams and dip as we ordered thought this was a good start however pakora we ordered were not fresh. The Tadal dhal had a good smokey flavour. Lassi a bit thick so maybe not freshly made. Reasonable fare but not great.

Excellent vegetarian options and a couple can be made vegan. My meat eater companion has always found it tasty as well and only once found the meat just slightly not tender enough, but he took it home and thoroughly enjoyed it the next day. Flavours are great & lovely interior, especially loved the tables, flat wear and atmosphere. Always found using Menulog pickup easy and on time as well. Definitely give Tabla a go.

We ate here a week ago and it was great. The restaurant is quite simply decorated, and doesn't look like much - but the service was good and the food was tasty. We tried a few dishes with naan and rice, and everything was reasonably priced- I was surprised by the bill - much cheaper than our usual bill at a curry house.We are so pleased to have found a good curry so close to home! We will definitely be back (again and again!)!

Great Indian cuisine in this little suburban restaurant. Staff are very helpful. We ordered our work Christmas lunch from them as take away - 15 meals - all were ready and hot when we arrived. Have frequented this establishment for lunches often for work. Be warned - you need to ask for Mild or the standard seems to be Medium
