Axe Arrow Gastropub - Smiths Falls

The food was fantastic, and my husband really enjoyed the burger. However, the service left much to be desired. It was a Monday night, and with 10 tables plus the bar, the lone server struggled to keep up. We waited over 20 minutes after finishing our meal before anyone checked on us. The table next to us had to ask the cooks for their food, which had been sitting out and getting cold for quite a while, while the server was busy with other tasks. It wasn't entirely her fault; the restaurant was clearly understaffed. We will likely give it another try, as the food was excellent.

We visited on a Sunday evening, and while it was quite busy, the service was fantastic and the food was incredible! The nachos were large, fresh, and unique, and the antojitos were outstanding with generous portions. I can't wait to return and try other dishes! The staff was super friendly, making it an overall lovely spot for a beer and some tasty snacks!

The staff was absolutely delightful, warm, and always smiling. I really enjoyed the atmosphere, and I would definitely come back for drinks with friends. However, I found the menu to be quite limited, catering mostly to those with adventurous tastes. If you're a picky eater, I would recommend considering another restaurant.

We had a wonderful time here on ST. PATRICK's DAY!!! There was live entertainment that was beautiful and we enjoyed our oysters! The owner was very attentive to his patrons! He gave us a free Dessert sample plate and... a touch?

Ordered the tacos. I wasn't very happy with them. The filling was scarce. My husband ordered the house burger. The burger was wonderful but the fries or wedges weren't crunchy which for me is a big deal since I rarely order them. The waitress was nice but was very busy! Seemed to be alone at lunchtime to serve the whole room...she didn't refill our water until the end, when we ordered coffee. The atmosphere was nice, comfortable booth seating, but I am not sure whether we would return. It felt like there wasn't a lot of love and dedication in the whole project.
