Aji 53 - Smithtown

The restaurant features a contemporary decor at affordable prices. The sushi rolls were quite good. Our waiter was very attentive, checking in on us several times and refilling my green tea four times.

I had a fantastic lunch that was really affordable. The value was excellent, with generous portions in the lunch boxes. I ordered the shrimp and scallop teriyaki, and the sauce was bursting with flavor. The scallops were cooked to perfection, which is something I don't always encounter. The servers were attentive without being overly friendly. I would definitely return for more.

I ordered the Sushi Lunch Special for $14, swapping the California Rolls for Shrimp Tempura Mango Rolls for an extra $2. The price of the sushi lunch went up a dollar compared to last year, which is understandable. I also enjoyed a large hot sake for $10, which was great! I was initially going to give a rating of 5, but the waiter took my nearly finished sake bottle away a bit too quickly. Overall, I’m happy to see them open again for dining!

Absolutely my favorite sushi spot! The Leche Martini are amazing. American dream role is my favorite and the Christmas role is always a must!

Sushi was very good for an unassuming strip mall restaurant. The service was a little disorganized with no clear indication of who was taking our order and we waited a while to see served. However, once the orders were taken, it was quick. The spicy lemongrass seafood soup was a must-have and the rolls were creative and tasty.
