Golden Chick - Snyder

We were the only car in the drive-thru and there wasn't a single customer in the restaurant, yet it still took 20 minutes for us to get our food. When we returned to our hotel, we found that my husband's order was incorrect, and our food wasn't even warm. He had to drive back and wait an additional 15 minutes for a replacement. He noticed that the staff didn't seem to care about the mistake. Upon his return, his food was only barely warm, even though it was just a 5-minute drive back. It was incredibly disappointing to spend over $30 on lukewarm food that was also partially incorrect.

The food is consistently served hot, and the service is quick. The dining area and restrooms are always clean. Golden Chick in Snyder, Texas, has become my favorite restaurant. I will definitely keep coming back.

The roast chicken and mac and cheese were excellent. However, we didn't receive enough gravy and mashed potatoes. The rolls should be packaged separately, as they always end up getting squished. We absolutely love the poppers. The first time we tried them, they were fantastic, but this time, they were disappointing. I'm not sure if the recipe changed or if they were overcooked, but there was hardly any cheese inside; they were almost empty. We were genuinely impressed at first, but it seems that the quality of both the food and service is beginning to decline.

I absolutely intend to visit again! I really can't think of anything negative to say about this restaurant. The baked chicken was incredibly juicy, and every bite was seasoned to perfection. The dirty rice was fantastic, and the chicken salad was also impressive. I was also grateful for the complimentary ice cream cone! Thanks again—I’ll be back soon. I also grabbed a cookie, but I’m too full to enjoy it at the moment, so I’ll save it for later!

The food was delightful and served surprisingly fast. The staff even mentioned that they love my name!
