Írjon visszajelzéstNothing to do with Irish , except you get Guinness, which isn 't poured correctly and too warm, also ordered a half pint, that 's not what I got. I got sick in that place after a tiny glass of Guinness immediately, which tells me, it hadn 't been stored correctly, not kept at correct temperature. Also place is super hot (how?! when it 's 0 degrees outside?!?!! and stuffy and way too crowded and loud. Let in too many people for tiny place. Guinness more expensive than in most wonderful pubs in Ireland, btw.!! Bartender (a woman of course ignored me for the longest time, and served several other people who came after me, first. Didn 't pay any attention to people at the bar, like asking who wanted to order actually, from in between all those people blocking the bar, just sitting there and shoving other people, when not even drinking anything. They ruined St. Patrick 's day for me, as I had to leave feeling sick there after spoiled Guinness and super super hot without enough seating, and half of our group had left to a bar opposite soon, because of those reasons. Deco, vibe, seating, drink/food offerings: nothing there is remotely Irish. Music (live bad, and no happy vibes. Couldn 't feel at all that it was St. Paddy 's day, just a normal overcrowded Bulgarian pub with rude people, blocking the bar, and shoving other people. Didn 't meet a single Irish person, I guess because it would make them weep. Certainly the last place I would go with visitors from Ireland. Just rename the place and serve alcohol you know how to handle. I needed 2 attempts to find the place, as there is no sign, the entryway is disgusting.
A decent Irish pub in the city center (at the end of the pedestrian street). Entrance is hard to find though, you have to walk through a doggy-looking door, and walk up one floor in a staircase. Nonetheless, the place is nice.
Super cool place. Great place. It has a great atmosphere. The employee named Tarık is very nice and he knows how to treat the customers, but the overweight and short lady working next to him is very rude, he constantly yells at the customers and tries to get rid of those who try to respond, I will never go to that bar as long as the employee is in that bar, I give 5 stars because I want the bar owner and those going to the bar to see this Tarik is a respectable person thanks to him we avoided having a bad night
I've been in McCarthys several times and never thought much of it than the tourist trap that it is. The staff has a lot of energy and is I guess pretty chill although they will act as if you're not there. But I give it one star for one particular reason: I ordered Guinness and they served me all foam glass, the bartender didn't even try to hit the angle. The beer tasted like bitter soap and I was imagining I'd have a better time drinking detergent. It was over-carbonated, the one cardinal sin an irish pub can make. I honestly thought about returning it but I'm not the type to make a fuss over it. I paid 9 lv for it. This place dares to call itself an Irish pub but fundamentally fails at what Irish pubs should be.
The bar is really cozy and the staff is amazing! The bartenders are friendly and let you play songs, if you behave. : There is live music and karaoke we had so much fun. Their Guinness on tap is a must!
