Main Street Eatery - Somerville

I recently tried the Brussels sprouts at this restaurant and they were absolutely delicious. The secret recipe used by the cook is out of this world. If Shannon, the chef, ever disappears and is being held for ransom, I suggest not coming to my house until she gives in. She may be held captive in the kitchen.

Our waitress appeared to be quite overwhelmed. The food was tasty, however, it took an unusually long time to be served. Even the person clearing tables remarked that they were unsure of the delay. With only three other tables occupied, it was difficult to comprehend why the service was so slow.

We had breakfast here while visiting family. The food was really good. I had the French Toast Platter, which was prepared in a way I had never experienced before, and that cMe with a side of bacon and eggs. It was fabulous. There were 4 of us, and everyone enjoyed their meal. I am giving 4 stars because there was a haze of grill smoke that filled the restaurant and was present the entire time we were there. It was kind of overwhelming upon entering the restaurant. We adjusted to it, although it never went away completely. Afterward, all of my clothing had a smoke smell. Also, the waitress was ok, not great. She was the only one working but it was just us and 2 other tables (one table left basically as we arrived) while we were there.

The madres special burrito might literally be the best breakfast burrito I've ever had. Highly recommend.

Bring your appetite! The food is fantastic and the service is a thing of the past to experience. We toured the town square to walk off breakfast!
