Since I was visiting, I asked the staff for a recommendation, but he flat out said no. I found that a bit rude—you're running the place and can't suggest anything? I was really hoping for some great BBQ, especially since Guy Fieri had featured the restaurant. To make matters worse, the owner seemed grumpy and clearly unhappy in his role, which really killed the vibe. Overall, it wasn’t a great experience.
This was near where we were staying and decided to come grab lunch before heading to our winery reservation. I got the brisket sandwich with their fries. Sandwich was filled up with brisket. I liked the fries, it was a bit spicy, so beware if you're sensitive to heat. Fries were a bit spic
My husband and i liked the bbq , fries, beans and Brussels sprouts. The corn bread was dry and stale. The lavender lemonade too sweet but much better after adding water . The biggest impression was the service and not in a good way. The elderly gentleman, I believe the owner, was grumpy. Usually it's the vendor trying to make small talk but the situation was reversed. After we got our food and started eating in one of the tables outside, he came by and had no problem checking on the only other couple there but said nothing to us. I don't think we did anything wrong so it makes me wonder if he's just racist. Initially the young female cashier was curt too but she got better. We won't be back. Even the best bbq is not worth the condescending service. The owner should probably leave the customer service to someone else. Additionally, none of the staff looked particularly happy working there ... wouldn't be surprised if he's rude to them as well.... Very sad.
Bought the beef short ribs and brisket. Decent food. The cornbread was dry and stale. Best thing I had was the fries.
Amazing BBQ try the Carolina Style sandwich. The best BBQ in Sonoma County. Try the lavender lemonade.
