Caruso Brick Oven Trattoria - Souderton

First time here with a date. Small dining area and simple decor. Felt like I was eating with the other couple bc the tables were on top of each other . The food was delish! I could have eaten a bucket of their mushroom soup! Calamari had a yummy batter and was not overcooked. Couldn't get enough of the bread and pesto dip ?. My date got scallops and bacon pizza. He was in heaven with the taste of everything. I got Linguini with clams and pancetta. A little more salt than I like, but still very good. Didn't feel our bill was that high for all we got which is a welcomed surprise. Our waitress was a sweetheart and we showed our appreciation in her tip. Not close to where I live to frequent but I would go back and if I was a local, I'd be there often. Btw Tiramisu hit the spot!Parking: A small parking lot for the restaurant but attached is a big parking lot from the nearby park.

Cute restaurant and atmosphere. Food was decent, the special with the focaccia and all the toppings was tasty, same goes for the pizza but the chicken parm was just bland… but overall would go back to try something else due to the other factors and our waitress was very nice.

$17 for chicken parm, I would expect the whole piece of chicken to actually have mozzarella on it. Super disappointing. I’ve had better chicken parm for less money. The salad I paid an extra $4 for had the most stale croutons I’ve ever had. Thought I was going to break my teeth trying to chew them. Will never order from here again.

I have to be honest. I felt the quality and flavor wasn't quite there , especially for the price. Maybe they are getting cheaper ingredients but it tastes just like every other pizza shop around here. Nothing really stood out , sorry.

I will say I hate and think food in this area is absolutely terrible BUT Caruso’s was awesome. My entire family raved about their dinners and the staff was wonderful. True Italian food and great size portions, better than most of the food we have had traveling to Italy. Definitely worth stopping in! We will be back.
