Amano Pizza - South Amboy

Some of the best pizza in NJ, seriously! Came here after seeing its high score from Dave portnoy and it did not disappoint. I have been to amano many times and never had anything that wasn’t amazing! From the pizza to the salads and sandwiches, everything here is worth a try. Employees are very friendly and welcoming and the place is always spotless. Many different types of pies to try from on the counter so you can try something different every time. Definitely recommend giving it a try if you are anywhere in the area, you won’t be disappointed.

I love Amano’s, my family and I are some what of a regular customers. We usually get food delivered or pick up, but today was the first day we came in to order out. Service was friendly, and attentive. My BIGGEST and only COMPLAINT is that the servers who were working at the register and working with food were not wearing gloves. I was completely shocked and a little grossed out when hands were put on my pizza, after they had just worked on the register. I ordered a slice for my one year old and the fact that it’s cold and flue season made me hesitant to give the pizza to my baby. I really hope that changes in the near future

Ordered chicken parm pie. Not very good at all. Pie was poor quality. Cheese was way too thick, and almost tasted artificial. Chicken was small bits. Look elsewhere. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2
