Lem's Meat Varnish - South Charleston

I seldom give a perfect rating, but the BBQ pork I had here was exceptional. I wholeheartedly recommend this place. I just wish they were open on weekends, as it would give me more opportunities to dine here.

My husband and I drove to the summer festival and, as we stepped out of the car, we were drawn towards the lively entertainment. As we approached the stage, we decided to try some of Lem's BBQ. We initially thought about eating in the car, but then we placed our order just as the skies opened up. The band had to stop playing, and everyone scrambled for cover. The owner was incredibly kind; when he brought us our food, he also pulled out two folding chairs for us to sit under shelter from the rain. We happily accepted and enjoyed the best BBQ we’ve had in West Virginia! The owner's hospitality was just as impressive as the food itself!

This restaurant offers the best BBQ in the area! You can even find their sauce in local stores. It's a small business where most orders are for takeout. They also provide catering services, which I discovered, and I was blown away! I ate so much that I didn't need to eat for three days afterward! Don't hesitate to hire them for your catering needs, and make sure to stop by for lunch!
