The food was decent, but the service left much to be desired. Our waiter only came by once to deliver our meals and never returned to check if we needed anything else. Meanwhile, five employees were congregated at the front, chatting, with two of them seemingly on their phones, perhaps taking a break. I ultimately had to flag down our waiter just to request a to-go box and the bill.

The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant, but we encountered a few issues. The complimentary chips and salsa had a peculiar smell, and the salsa lacked any spiciness. I ordered a chimichanga, but it had an unpleasant taste, and the steak seemed off. I still ate it, but my wife ordered the avocado tacos and couldn't finish hers. That evening, we both experienced some digestive issues, including very unpleasant gas. I was awakened at 5:30 AM with severe diarrhea, and since then, I've had to dash to the bathroom six times by 8:16 AM. Thankfully, things seem to have settled down now. Overall, we won't be returning to this restaurant.

The food was just average, not impressive. At our table of five women, one of the ladies found staples in her meal. Another ordered flour tortillas but received corn tortillas instead. My meal was lukewarm, not hot at all. I won’t be returning!

Just an ok experience our first time there. Service was VERY slow (5 min to get chips, another 10 min to get drinks, another 30 min to get food, then 15 min to get the check). We heard good reviews about the salsa, but that wasn?t the best. The chipswere good though. The stuff we had was pretty standard stuff. It didn?t have any special flavoring. Too bad since we needmore special restaurants in Elgin.

The food here is excellent, and the service is fantastic. They offer a wide variety of menu items, including plenty of great vegetarian options since their refried beans are prepared without lard. The guacamole made at your table is a must-try, and you can customize it just the way you want.
