Harpo's Bakery - South Glastonbury

Small local bakery with incredibly friendly staff. I tried her lemon bread, apple muffins and Russian pumpernickel bread, which was freshly cut before me. Seeing the bread sliced is really a throw back into the past and fascinating to watch! The muffins and lemon bread were good, not too sweet and not encrusted with sugar, which I don't like. The bread was also fantastic! Parking is a bit of a mess, as there are not many spots and the location sits on a busy road so cautious to pull!

The best place in town to make an egg sandwich, cookies and they make an incredible cheesecake. Better than anywhere, including NYC. My children also love this place that is a total bonus.

Very good bakery. Will return again, many people have told about Harpo's his shame, his from my way to work in the area, went to get egg sandwich and ended with much more goodies.

Who does not love Italian cookies. To complete it, they have a variety of pastries, breakfast sandwiches, paninis and bread. Totally worth it!

The woman who helped me was incredibly kind and friendly, always ready to assist. I bought several items, and she kindly offered to carry them to my car for me. She mentioned that all the bread and pastries are made in-house, except for a few Italian cookies. The sandwich I got was delicious, as were the pastries. Overall, this is a wonderful bakery.
