Be warned! my man and I were happy after a long walk on a creamtee. we actually went two hours specifically for the tee at the end. I checked online that they are open. they said they had arrived earlier and everything was locked up. tired, hungry, thirsty and disappointed, with a long walk back to a cup of tea home.

At the end of a coast walk stopped and greeted by this beautiful small protected caffe, the excellent pastie cream tee so much served that we order one of the better cream tees we in devon on a day...holiday beautiful coffee was a bonus with the beautiful view on the beach behind.

If I were to base this review solely on the food, I would have to give it a high rating. The pastries, paninis, and cakes were all delicious. However, the service was disorganized and ill-prepared for busy times. It was clear that the staff were overwhelmed and struggling to keep up with demand. They may need to hire more employees, as many hospitality businesses are currently facing challenges in recruiting. Our experience was devalued by this. Additionally, the young girl who served us was unfriendly, did not smile, did not speak much, and did not thank us or smile when we assisted her with the card machine. While she may have been young and inexperienced, customer-facing staff should show warmth towards patrons. It seemed like they were all burdened with heavy workloads. There was also a strange smell outside the restaurant, which did not enhance the waiting experience. Despite these issues, the restaurant has potential. It has a good menu, a great location next to the beach, and the food was enjoyable. However, the service and operations need improvement. If the beach is the main draw for you, be aware that it is not the best in the area.

While on our coastal hike, we decided to stop in at this restaurant. Despite not having high expectations, we ordered some pastries. To our surprise, they were absolutely delicious - far superior to any store-bought version. The service was also friendly and we will definitely be returning.

The coffee at this restaurant is excellent and the views overlooking the beach and Mewstone are lovely. The place is well-organized with COVID-safe payment and collection methods.
