Írjon visszajelzéstThis is our go to every time we visit Tahoe. The staff is extremely friendly. We ordered two Jr. cheeseburgers with bacon, a chicken sandwich with Ortega chilies, and a bacon cheeseburger with onions. Amazing food! You could never go wrong with anything you order. The back patio is open again with lots of picnic beaches. It's a cute little lunch or dinner spot. This is a must try! Best burger place in South Lake Tahoe!!!
I have driven past this place too many times to count and there is consistently a crowd. Today was the day we had a chance to stop in for lunch. The restaurant has lots of shady outdoor seating, which was great. We also got in early enough to beat the lunch rush and were served quickly. I had a classic cheeseburger patty with cheese and served with Mayo, relish, lettuce, red onion and tomato. I opted for no tomato. I'm sad to say my burger was pretty underwhelming. It was likely a frozen patty and just not what I was hoping for. I ate about 3/4 and didn't finish. My boyfriend got a Bacon Cheddar burger and didn't finish it not super normal for him. He agreed it was likely a frozen patty and sadly didn't get his exactly the way he wanted. The fries had potential. They were fresh from the fryer and a perfect golden brown, but had absolutely no seasoning. I'm my opinion, a sin. There was no salt or pepper to be found and ketchup couldn't make up for the lack of salt. Sadly, will probably not return.
Local favorite that's been here forever. Still a good place to eat and always hits the spot. They finally open up there back patio and there's plenty of shade and tables to sit. The menu hasn't changed. Only thing this place doesn't have are milk shakes.
Small burger shack that has been running for decades! Service was good. The staff were friendly. Food came out fairly quickly. The burgers were huge but not really tasty. We had the fringes... half onion rings and half french fries. The onion rings were lightly battered, crispy and good! The fries were a bit soggy. Not sure how the Spa name denotes, as their burgers were not gourmet burgers. Maybe it meant overpriced?! Because the food was a bit overpriced. BTW... the prices on their website are not up-to-date.
Overall a decent experience. We came based off of Yelp reviews but if I return to Tahoe I would not return here. We ordered a Fish Sandwich, Mushroom and Swiss Burger, and Frings (half fries half onion rings). Fish Sandwich: 4.5/5 We thought the fish was perfectly cooked and flavorful along with the tartar sauce. Vegetables were crisp and fresh. The only thing I think could have been better was the bread it was relatively average. Mushroom Swiss Burger: 2/5 We thought this burger was disappointingly bland. The meat was clearly completely unseasoned as were the mushrooms and the bun again could have been better. The vegetables were crisp and probably the best part of the entire burger if we're being honest. I would not order this item again and regretted not getting a second fish sandwich. Frings: 3.5/5 We thought the onion rings were good. Nice breading, sweet flavor, etc. the fries however suffered from exactly the same problem as the burger they were entirely unsalted/seasoned. Being that they weren't right out of the fryer when I added salt it could not stick to the fries appropriately. I don't think I should have to salt my own food at a place with a solid 4 star rating. I am not sure why this place had as high of a rating as it did as it received a 50% in my eyes if it were to be graded. They also have won numerous rewards as the best burger in town which didn't make sense to me after trying it. I could have made the same thing on my BBQ at home with bread more moist and meat more seasoned. I spoke with a friend later that day who suggested I go to Big Daddy's next time instead.
