Esquires Coffee House - South Lakeland

After a walk from Grasmere Pass to Rydal Cave, we stumbled upon this restaurant which was just what we needed. We were initially worried about the prices, despite its Ambleside branding. However, the food exceeded our expectations - it was delicious, generously portioned, and the service was very friendly. Overall, it was definitely worth a visit for lunch when in town.

Decent menu. good sandwiches. coffee was okay. my flat white was a little bitter.

I visited this restaurant last month with my family for coffee and had a wonderful experience. We were warmly greeted by friendly employees, seated promptly, and handed menus with a great selection of cakes and small bites. The staff member who took our order was helpful and made us laugh while recommending some delicious cakes. My iced coffee was beautifully presented with fruit and ice in a glass. I ordered a scone with butter and jam, which was large in size and tasted amazing. The only downside was that the small jar of jam didn't quite cover the whole scone, but I am a jam enthusiast. Overall, I was very pleased with the friendly staff and unique atmosphere of the restaurant and would definitely visit again.

This small coffee shop in Ambleside is surprisingly spacious. The cakes were absolutely delicious and I will definitely be returning soon.
