Bennys Pizzeria, Fish And Chips

I went to this restaurant last night because my usual go-to spot for fish and chips was closed. I regret going there. I had to give it at least one star, but if I could, I would give it zero stars. The chips were greasy, the black pudding batter was thick and soggy like cake, and the paper was stuck to it. The fish batter was not any better. I wasted £20 on the meal and I would never recommend this place. Instead, I suggest going a bit further down the road to the fish and chip shop on the corner of the bowling green. They always have fresh and delicious food.

I decided to order from this restaurant again, but I regret not paying closer attention to the reviews, which were all from the previous owner. When I called to complain about the overpowering smell coming from the fish, some parts were discolored and smelled stronger. I chose not to eat any more as I did not want to get sick. The worst part of this experience was the owner screaming at me over the phone. I will never spend another penny here - it was a total waste of money and my dinner. The fritters were decent, but not what I expected for my meal. I am very disappointed and feel that my call to address the issue could have been handled better.

This must be the best fish and chip shop in Cambuslang. The food is superb, the service excellent. I would rate this as fabulous. I just wished I lived nearer it.

Avoid this restaurant at all costs. The chips were dry and lacked any curry sauce or chicken. The only somewhat positive aspect was the decent portion sizes, but even those were ruined by the old, stale taste of the chips. Save yourself the disappointment and look for a different dining option.
