Cornhill House Bistro

Have eaten in the restaurant a couple of times and the food is exceptional. Fresh, tasty and freshly cooked. The steak pie is particularly good as are the delicious desserts. The service on both occasions has been great friendly, efficient and welcoming. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and has a lovely ambience and views across the countryside. Highly recommend a visit.

The castle was very welcoming after having our 1 month review for our wedding we decided to go for a late lunch the restraunt was beautiful cosy atmosphere. The staff who served us where very chatty and friendly nothing was too much bother. The food was delicious and massive portions i reccomend the fish and chips was so tasty. The service was so fast espically with having a wedding on at the same time. Thank you cornhill castle cant wait to be back in a months time for my wedding

Wow!! One of the best meals we’ve had in a long time! Well done to the chef. We had an overnight in one of the beautiful lodges. Great experience. I had the ham hock terrine to start, my husband had the scallops. We shared. Both fantastic. We both had the chicken supreme for the main. Every morsel was delicious. Then to finish off we had the half baked cookie dough. Out of this world. Tremendous. The staff were so friendly. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

I stayed in the Spey lodge 6th 7th January 2023. On arrival we were shown to the lodge by Megan. It looked nice. We had no towels for the hot tub so had to ring reception. We visited the Gillie restaurant the menu is very basic. That night myself husband tried to sleep in the lodge. 2 single beds pushed together with 2 single mattresses zipped together. We both fell into the middle of the bed, very uncomfortable! At a cost of £300 per night this is unacceptable. The shower would not drain my husband had to clean the drain which was full of hair. This is basic maintenance! Again paying £300 per night this is not acceptable. Sunday morning, no cups to make a hot drink, basic housekeeping! I’ve been to Cornhill castle but I wouldn’t return. Nor would I recommend. Premium price for average service/amenities
