I even noticed that a narrow boot could get a takeaway. the navigation inn is located next to a work channel in the most beautiful picturesque opposite. enjoy a walk along the towpath before or after its delicious meal. oh and very favorable too. we're gonna do the team. we will be back.
Today for lunch with 2 friends as the middle of a day-riding. we had booked a table and that seemed to be a request as they were busy. it's nice to see that the setback on the CoVid restrictions is getting stronger as people continue to go and have a good time in increasing numbers. I know it must be a godsend for the same of the gastronomy and entertainment industry. the waitress said they were more busy and more busy, although they are large, but only short workers, because many people have changed their labour priorities due to the plague. we sat outside, which was great, because the weather was sunny and warm. she said that was a test idea. we ordered drinks and our lunch and they were delivered fast and very hot, which was great. the food was nice, but first I thought they had forgotten my chips, but they found them hidden under the big piece of fish. there was also only one spoon of muddy pudding, but it has proved sufficient and I did not need pudding. the staff was excellent, friendly and attentive, without floating, although it was very busy. it all went smoothly. the location is stunning and the parking space is a decent size plus they can walk along the canal and visit the museum to burn some of their food before they go. a very pleasant lunch break.
We had dinner here for Christmas. the first time we had Christmas dinners and it was a very nice experience. the place has changed a lot since my last visit years ago, so better. it seems to have been renovated and seems much less pub grub and more gastro-pub style now. the food was nice and very tasty (I had the causal of lamb, the photo is the frizzy. eating was plentiful if maybe a bit too much for some appetit. relaxed environment, helpful staff. they gave my son an activity package (puzzles, color book, pencils, etc). that was a nice note. many options of drinks. All-in-all a beautiful day out in a beautiful pub directly at the canal and very cheap for a Christmas day menu.
The lunch was booked by phone, but when we arrived, no booking had been made as it was not busy, they had a table for us. eating was very good, and we look cowardly to go back. so to visit at all large places, but the booking system needs work. next time
We had a lovely lunch here in April 2022: the new owners have only just taken over and initially we thought that it was a lot more expensive than when we'd been before several years ago when it was more of a pub grub sort of place. The main menu is slightly more expensive £12.95 for fish and chips and as we were leaving we saw other people saying the same thing. However, we were also offered the lunch menu, and each chose a sandwich: some with salad, some with chips. The sandwiches were all tasty and generous on rustic white or brown bread (and the chicken club is huge! , the chips were delicious and the small one enjoyed his fish fingers, chips and peas. I would have given them 5 stars but have deducted one because on a beautiful spring day we were unable to eat outside in the warm sunshine. I can understand their decision: currently they only had 2 serving staff (they did have a notice saying they were looking for additional crew members . The staff they did have were very helpful. It'll be interesting to see how they get on: I'd definitely go back.
