The restaurant was almost empty, but the lunch was very enjoyable. The food and service both received a rating of 5, while the atmosphere received a 4.

We had an absolutely fantastic meal for four people. The food was beautifully served and presented, just gorgeous. We all cleaned our plates, leaving nothing behind. The staff were wonderful. Thank you. There are plenty of parking spaces available. The price per person is around £30–40. Overall, we rated the food and service both a 5 out of 5.

I recently visited this establishment using the Brit Stops deal and had a fantastic experience. The staff were exceptionally friendly and competent, and the food was delicious, especially the Caribbean Curry we tried. The locals were also very enjoyable to converse with. I plan on returning to this welcoming pub again in the future, as they also have a promising event calendar. Overall, this is a well-managed pub that I highly recommend supporting. Walked in... Got told not to sit at any of the tables that we wanted to.... Atmosphere was dead. Felt most unwelcome. My friend had lost something and had asked the lady behind the bar to search for it in case she had put it in the bin... my friend and I were snapped at and we waited and waited for her to look for us. Then when my friend had to look for her expensive item, she was told not to look in that specific place. Drinks were poured with a half smile... So, we just decided to go elsewhere after finishing our drinks. The Crown on the high street has a better atmosphere, hands down! The staff at the crown are friendlier and more accommodating. My advice? Just go up the road to The Crown. No competition I'm afraid.
