Cia Cafe - South Portland

Cia is my go-to spot for coffee and a breakfast sandwich or lunch during the work week. They also showcase local artists by displaying their artwork in the coffee shop, which is a great touch. The atmosphere is always friendly, making it my favorite neighborhood hangout. My husband and I visit Cia for coffee or food at least three times a week. I highly recommend it to both locals and visitors!

We found ourselves in South Portland on Tuesday, February 22, 2022. My youngest daughter ordered the veggie maple breakfast sandwich, which was absolutely fantastic. My other daughter chose the Gobbler lunch sandwich, and it was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. I had the Downeaster, and the flavor combinations were spot on. We also bought jars of the sweet and savory pickled garlic and raspberry jam, both of which were delicious. This place is definitely a must-visit if you're in South Portland!

What a charming coffee shop! It offers a variety of local products, including knitted items, candles, and jarred cocktail mixes. I ordered drip coffee with sugar-free salted caramel syrup and a hint of maple syrup—something I had never encountered before, being from Texas! They also provide almond milk, along with other creamers and sweeteners, at no extra charge. My friend enjoyed a gluten-free breakfast sandwich, so there are options available for those with dietary restrictions. The place was bustling with customers, which we took as a positive indicator right from the start.

This restaurant is delightful, and the staff is incredibly kind and welcoming. It’s a genuine gathering place for both locals and visitors, offering a cozy neighborhood atmosphere. I also appreciate that they sell locally crafted items like art and jewelry.

It's always a good time to stop by Cia! You never know who you might bump into. This place is a favorite among the locals. They serve fantastic coffee, delicious pastries, and tasty breakfast sandwiches. Everything is so yummy!
