City Golf Club - SOUTH TOOWOOMBA

Dinner here is always enjoyable, and this visit was no exception!! My wife and I came here for dinner tonight and I had Bangers and Mash with a Strawberry

I visited this spot twice during my recent visit - I was ok with it but I did expect more.

Have eaten here before with pretty poor outcomes. Heard they had changed caterers so thought would give it another go. Around lunch we just ordered simple wedges. Sadly arrived half an hour later cold and with little packets of sour cream and sweet and sour dip. Then after watching an excellent concert by Troy Cassar Daley we decided to have a crack at the Sunday night buffet. Big mistake. I ordered the roast pork with crackling. Sad to say as dry as a desert wind. Crackling inedible. Buffet veges your standard frozen muck. Overall inedible at $20 a meal member price. Never again City Golf. Sad really when the club itself us a beautiful venue.

Lovely surroundings within the golf club, however meals where overpriced and presentation was no better than a pub meal. Would hesitate to try again.

Two Couples visited Toowoomba, decided to Lunch at City Golf Club.My Wife choose Gourmet Pie of the Day, I selected the Roast of the day, Our Guests choose Rump Steak and also the Gourmet Pie.My Roast of the Day was Pork which had off cuts full of grissel and fat and veges, the meal was COLD which I couldn't eat, My wife's Pie had hide and seek beef pieces find me! found 3 in all. veges were cold as well.Our guests waited 20 minutes for their meals, Rump steak was so hard that the Steak knife had difficulty cutting and the Pie was similar as my wife's !Not being members drinks were very excessively over priced.The friendly Waitress asked how our meals were, I said "terrible" explained what was wrong..She did say she will get someone to talk to us, I did say not to bother as we were leaving.
