Emeralds Eatery - South Windsor

This was my first visit, but it definitely won't be my last! I was pleasantly surprised by the apple fritter French toast ($9), which came with two eggs, bacon, toast, and hash. The food arrived quickly, and it was absolutely delicious!

This is our favorite diver in the area safe and we get food here a few times a month. Every time we do, the staff is very friendly, the food is delicious, and the portions are great. This diner is probably a little more expensive than the others in the area, but I feel that the additional costs are worth it. For breakfast, the omnilets are packed with ingredients, the Monte Cristo is the best around, and the specialties are very generous. The staff deserves an increase safely, as it seems that they are always subject to breakfast and brunch. But even with only one or two servers they do a great job. Overall, I recommend this diner.

Great place, clean environment, good service, great omelette, girlfriend did not like the pancake. Too thick and not soft. Overall good place for breakfast.

I discovered a fantastic place near my hotel. The three-egg veggie omelet is packed with fresh vegetables and cheese—absolutely delicious! I even had leftovers for breakfast at work. The side of bacon was definitely worth it, and the domestic fries were cooked perfectly, not greasy at all. The rye toast from NYC is simply to die for. Kevin's coffee is excellent as well. The server was very friendly, and the kitchen was quick with our orders—a rare combination these days. The atmosphere was just right too.
