Pizza On The Lake - Southampton

Great, fast service and lovely ambience even if the weather was dull! The pizza was incredible and although slightly pricy, it was definitely worth the money.

The setting is beautiful, the staff are friendly and the food is ok, but I did have a few gripes. We weren't even asked for a drinks order for half an hour after arriving. The pizzas were nice but they were described as 12 , and they were considerably smaller than the 12 plates they came on. Also they don't provide cutlery and that's ok for a Margarita but my father-in-law struggled with the toppings. Perhaps the venue description could say bring a knife and fork? Then it would still be Covid safe without having to use disposable cutlery.

I think it was busier than expected but we were approached about 40 mins after arriving to ask what we'd ordered via the booking process. Food was about another half hour after that. The serving staff tried really hard but I think there were just too many people for the number of serving staff.
