Fishbone's West - Southfield

It was just odd. There were 4 tables still left at closing time and we were the only ones being rushed out.

I recently dined at Fishbone’s with my family (a party of 5) and noticed upon seating that an 18% gratuity is automatically added. While we decided to stay, the automatic tip policy seems to discourage excellent service. Our server, though polite, was slow and inattentive, only offering refills when we asked for the check and failing to clear appetizer plates before the main course leaving little room at our table. Additionally, the food was subpar. Due to the automatic gratuity, mediocre food, and slow service, we won't be returning to Fishbone’s.

The food and jazz were fabulous. Best of all was our waitress who was just incredible and so thoughtful!!! I was so full that I had no room for dessert so she did a happy birthday plate in chocolate syrup and whipped cream. She went ABOVE AND BEYOND all evening

Food was delicious. Waiter could’ve been more attentive, he did not ask us if we wanted another drink or a dessert. Automatic 18% gratuity included on bill which is probably why the waiter was subpar.

Ambience was excellence a tad bit loud but overall great experience as always Food was wonderful and awesome server that got us things in a timely manner
