Cafe On The Green - Southwold

We’ve dined here a few times with our dog in tow, and each time the service has been outstanding! The food is delicious and very honest. I highly recommend this place to everyone, whether you have a dog or not. The restaurant is clean and welcoming, which can be challenging to maintain in dog-friendly establishments, but they do it well! Looking forward to visiting again soon!

Southwold is a coastal town that's welcoming to both dogs and residents. However, I wouldn't recommend driving down some of the side streets—it's a bit tricky! It's best to park in the main lot at the pier or sometimes along the coast road. Parking and dining here are quite affordable. The promenade has a charming traditional vibe, and there's no fee to access the pier, where dogs are also allowed—unlike some other places we've visited.

I've always loved the pier in Southwold. Today, I stopped by the beach café on the pier to ask for some ice for my little girl, who had just hurt her hand in the parking lot. The staff were incredible, and I can't praise the wonderful first aider enough. He was so kind, friendly, and thorough, turning a frustrating situation into a much easier one.
