Converse Deli - Spartanburg

My favs are the quiche, chicken salad croissants and different teas. But all food is good. Friendly staff, good food, quick service. Dining inside and out.

Although the food was very good, service is mediocre the ambience appears as it did 15 years ago. Worn out tables, chairs carpets... so drab dreary

The food here is exceptional! It has always been great, and I believe it always will be! This restaurant has been one of my favorite places since my medical school days. My wife and I decided to revisit for nostalgia, and it did not disappoint! I ordered the special of the day—a corned beef Cuban—and I highly recommend they make it a permanent menu item; it was absolutely delicious! If you go, definitely try it if it's available! I also love that they source their produce from local farmers in the area. I really hope they stay in business because we will definitely be returning!

I used to enjoy coming here for their sandwiches, but my recent visit was disappointing. I ordered the French dip as usual, but this time it came with just one or two tiny pieces of roast beef, a single sliver of onion, and some watered-down au jus. At $11.50, I expected much better! I prefer to support local businesses, but honestly, you can get a better sandwich at Jersey Mike's.
